Yin Hu

Biography

Yin received his bachelor’s degree in Statistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and then went to Rice University to earn his Master of Statistics degree. He also worked in industry for almost two years as a data mining engineer and software engineer. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Yin’s research aims to integrate scientific knowledge, statistical modeling, and multi-source data to conduct agroecosystem modeling of the carbon–nutrient–water nexus. This work will support more informed and sustainable agricultural practices while contributing to environmental conservation.
